Well, I am back from the beach and had a WONDERFUL time! The girls and I spent the week with Perry's parents, and then Perry joined us at the end of the week for Darby's wedding. Darby is Perry's niece, and the wedding was soooo pretty! It was on the beach and was very, very, nice. I was in charge of the flowers. Just typing that sentence sends my heart in spasms once again. Everything went fine, but I know it's because of the prayers sent up for me.
This picture is of one of 4 cones that I made and placed on the isle chair for the reserved seats. The cone was made from Stampin Up's new Bridal paper called, "Bride." I know funny huh! There's also the "Groom" paper which is black and the "Bridesmaid" which is offwhite. This paper can be altered to whatever color is needed with ink and a brayer. What is nice about this is the swirls in the paper still stay shimmery. I used the "Baroque Motifs" stamp set for the swirl. The swirl was done with heat and stick powder, then the Fine Cosmo turquoise was added for shimmer. They turned out great. The new grommets held the ribbon, and then I just placed the roses down in the cone. The bride had many choices for the reserved seating - bows, flowers, etc, so I was really excited she like this idea better than the others.
