Is it real?

When people see this card, the first thing they do is touch the white doily....they think it's a real doily laid on the card.

It isn't. :)

This card was done at a little get together with Vickie Harper, and we had lots of fun doing this. She ended up liking this so much, she did LOTS of these...crazy girl! :)

The little doilies were stamped on the background and then crumb cake ink was sponged around each one. The large doily was stamped with versa mark and embossed with white embossing powder on top of these. By doing this, it's creating the illusion of the doily laying on top. Cool huh!

O Come Let Us Adore Him

I really like this card. This is another one that we did in our Christmas Card Class. I love the shimmer gold paper...of course...shimmer! :)
I love the espresso color with the gold...they really complement each other.

What I love most about this card is the depiction of the true meaning of Christmas.

Matthew 2:10 When they saw the star the rejoiced and was exceedly glad.

Joy!

Joy! Isn't that what it's all about! The word "Joy" occurs 165 times in the Bible...because HE is where our joy should come from!

I love that word, because when I see it, I know what it means - at a very personal level. When SU come out with this stamp set I was very excited because the word "Joy" is so big and scripty! :)

This is an elongated card. I like different card folds and I like to "change things up a bit"

The shimmer you see on this paper is from the Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol..spray, spray, spray, and you have a BEAUTIFUL shimmer to any paper! The flap is held down with a little oval punch, but you can use any shape punch really.

I hope you're having a Joyous December, if you're not, please know that Jesus loves you, and joy comes from knowing Him!
Merry Christmas!
